Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily accounting operations
Supervise AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, fixed assets, cash flows and monthly bank/LG reconciliations. - Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close
Manage journal entries, accruals and balance-sheet reconciliations. Deliver full financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) compliant with Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS) and IFRS. - Drive financial analysis & reporting
Prepare and review financial reports; analyze variance trends; deliver clear insights and recommendations to senior management. - Establish & refine internal controls
Develop and update SOPs, control frameworks, and ensure data integrity across finance operations, including intercompany and tax processes. - Audit coordination & compliance
Plan and lead external audits under Egyptian Standards on Auditing. Act as main liaison with auditors, manage schedules, and address findings. - Technical accounting oversight
Interpret and apply EAS (aligned with IFRS) for leases, financial instruments, and revenue recognition. Ensure readiness for regulatory changes under Ministerial Decrees. - Tax & statutory reporting
Supervise preparation and filing of corporate tax, VAT, and quarterly/statutory financial reports, meeting Egypt’s Companies Law deadlines. - Team leadership & development
Guide and mentor accounting staff, review deliverables, and foster continuous skill development and process ownership. - System improvement & automation
Identify inefficiencies and lead improvements in accounting systems (ERP, reconciliation tools, SOPs) to enhance accuracy and productivity. - Cross-functional collaboration
Engage with Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and IT to ensure seamless integration of financial processes and effective system implementations.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification: Certified IFRS Diploma, ACCA, CPA or equivalent
- 7+ years of finance & accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role within fintech, banking or services
- Proven track record of managing external audits and implementing EAS/IFRS-based financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of Egyptian regulatory frameworks: Companies Law, Capital Market Law, EAS, ESAROAS
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- ERP and advanced Excel proficiency (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP a plus)
