Role Objective

The Senior Business Development Specialist will drive the strategic expansion of our vendor network by identifying high-impact partners, leading negotiations, and shaping category growth. Through advanced market analysis, strong stakeholder management, and ownership of end-to-end acquisition cycles, the role ensures sustainable growth and reinforces our competitive positioning within the food delivery market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Led the identification and evaluation of high-potential restaurants and food brands, prioritizing strategic fit, category gaps, and user demand.

  • Own and lead negotiations on commission structures, SLAs, settlement terms, promotional commitments, and long-term partnerships.

  • Manage and optimize a robust acquisition pipeline, ensuring accurate CRM tracking, forecasting, and prioritization based on commercial impact.

  • Validate and hand over complete partner data (menus, contacts, commercial terms) to onboarding teams, ensuring a seamless and time-efficient go-live experience.

  • Conduct deep market and competitive analysis, identifying emerging trends, category opportunities, and potential threats to strengthen acquisition strategies.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, finance, and product teams to design launch plans, optimize partner performance, and support category growth initiatives.

  • Monitor acquisition KPIs, lead performance reviews, and highlight risks, blockers, and opportunities to leadership.

  • Provide guidance to junior team members, offering support in research, negotiation preparation, and pipeline management.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or account acquisition — preferably in food tech, e-commerce, F&B, or FMCG.

  • Strong understanding of Egypt’s food delivery and restaurant ecosystem, including key players, category trends, and competitive dynamics.

  • Proven negotiation and relationship-building skills in both Arabic and English.

  • Advanced capability with CRM tools, Excel/Google Sheets, and funnel tracking dashboards.

  • Highly strategic, analytical, and target-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders.
