Role Objectives:
The security manager ensures the protection of facilities by managing security systems, overseeing staff, and coordinating with law enforcement. They lead the implementation of security programs, manage change and training initiatives, and handle outsourced security services while ensuring effective system enhancements and compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Establishes and maintains liaison with relevant law enforcement and government officials, including maintaining active and useful memberships in security associations.
• Patrol all premises and gates to ensure effective security measures are implemented.
• Manage the provision of security systems e.g., access control systems, CCTV, radios, etc., and ensure proper maintenance.
• Monitors, evaluates, and coaches the performance of the security staff.
• Ensure all security log-books are constantly updated including all incidents, inspections, discrepancies, etc.
• Leads project teams and sub-teams to develop and implement new programs, systems, tools, and process improvements.
• Develops and sustains subject expert-level information on core applications utilized by the global safety and security organization.
• Responsible for developing change management, organizational readiness, and technical training programs and materials to support new or updated applications and tools within the global safety & security organization.
• Oversees planning to support the execution of tests and rollouts of technical projects or application enhancements.
• Manages sustainment of existing business applications and tools, ensuring current sustainment models and support plans are in place.
• Drives standardized change control process used to intake assess, prioritize, and manage implementation of system issues, enhancement requests, and new initiatives.
• Manage outsourced security companies/ suppliers to ensure efficient delivery and follow-up on the security company contract.
Requirements:
• Preferred: 7-10 years of experience in security & safety management or a related field.
• Comprehensive understanding of security and safety standards and testing techniques.
• Very good command of both written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management capabilities.
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability.
